Graffitecs is a thirty-one-person software studio in Dubai building custom web, mobile, and AI products for founders and product teams.
Graffitecs is a small software house founded in Dubai in 2017. Working with a deliberately tiny senior team across three timezones, the studio has shipped over 110 web, mobile, and AI products for clients ranging from seed-stage founders to listed enterprises in the Gulf, Europe, and South Asia. The studio is best known for DocEngine, an open-source document parsing toolkit, and for a hiring process that rejects roughly 70% of inbound briefs.
Graffitecs Studio FZ-LLC is an independent software studio headquartered in Lahore, Pakistan, with team pods in Lisbon, Bangalore, and Mexico City. Founded in 2017 by Rania Khalil, Jonas Eberle, and Asma Pillai, the studio specialises in custom web applications, mobile development, AI & automation, cloud platforms, product strategy, and brand-aware product design.
Graffitecs operates as a deliberately small senior team and turns down most inbound work, choosing to engage with four to six clients per year. Past clients include venom-stage fintechs, two listed retail groups, and a handful of family offices. The studio has been profitable every year since incorporation and is bootstrapped.
In 2024, the studio open-sourced DocEngine, its document-parsing toolkit, which has since been used in production by more than 600 companies. Graffitecs publishes an irregular newsletter, "Field Notes", and contributes to several open-source projects in the Rust and TypeScript ecosystems.
